Dr Ho Kee Hai

BDS (Singapore), FDSRCS (Edinburgh), FDSRCPS (Glasgow), FAMS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery)

Dr Ho Kee Hai is a Colombo Plan Scholar. Early in his career, he was awarded the Colombo Plan Scholarship to UK for postgraduate training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the Canniesburn Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, UK.

Following that, he received the British Medical Fellowship Award for advanced OMS training in the UK.

Dr Ho Kee Hai was an academic staff at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was appointed the Head of the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, NUS and concurrent Chief of the Department of OMS, National University Hospital, Singapore.

When Dr Ho transited to the private sector, The University of Warwick, UK appointed him Honorary Associate Professor to teach their MSc course in dental implantology to dentists in Southeast Asia and Australia.

Dr Ho lectured internationally on facial trauma, orthognathic surgery and implant surgery to various parts of the world.

Dr Ho’s professional contributions and research interests include:

1. President of the Singapore Dental Association.
2. President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Singapore.
3. Elected member, Singapore Dental Council.
4. Education Committee, International Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons.
5. Editorial Board, Journal of Asian Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
6. AIDS Task Force, Ministry of Health, Singapore.
7. Appointed by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, to their international panel to develop
the “Guidelines on Management of Ameloblastoma”.

His research interests include:
1. Tissue engineering of scaffold-implant construct.
2. Grafting with bone and scaffold.

In recognition of his contributions to the profession and the community, Dr Ho was bestowed the Roll-of-Honour by the Singapore Dental Association.

Currently Dr Ho is the Director and clinician at Coden Specialists, Paragon Medical Centre, Orchard Road.

Dr Ng Fooi Chin

BDS (Singapore), MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) (Singapore) FDSRCS (England)

Dr Ng Fooi Chin obtained her Masters degree in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery from the National University of Singapore and a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Dr Ng was awarded the first UK Overseas Doctors Training Scholarship for advanced surgical training in the UK. This Fellowship was jointly awarded by the three UK Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England; Edinburgh and Glasgow.

This competitive Fellowship was open to trainees from all surgical disciplines including ENT, Eye, Head and Neck, Plastic Surgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

With this award, Dr Ng pursued advanced postgraduate training in paediatric and craniomaxillofacial surgery at the Great Ormond Street Children Hospital, London; trauma, orthognathic surgery and oncology at the University London Hospital, UK.

Dr Ng pioneered the use of real time computer guided navigational surgery for implant placement in Southeast Asia. She was appointed an Honorary Consultant and Teaching Faculty for Image Guided Implantology (IGI) by the IGI navigational surgery inventor. She was invited to lecture on this new implant technology to dentists in Southeast Asia, Australia and UK.

The University of Warwick, UK, appointed Dr Ng an Associate Clinical Professor and Director for the Warwick MSc course in implant dentistry.

Concurrently. the University of Central Lancashire, UK appointed her the Lead Clinician to their MSc Implant Course.

These postgraduate programmes trained dental practitioners from Southeast Asia and Australia in dental implantology.

Dr Ng is devoted to the dental profession and the communities. She contributed actively in many capacities in the Singapore Dental Association Council and organized many of SDA’s educational activities and conventions over many years. She volunteers her services to Tzuchi International Medical Association (TIMA) that brings medical/dental care and relief to the needy in countries where medical resources are lacking.

Dr Ng is an elected member of the Singapore Dental Council.

She serves in SDC’s Continuing Education Committee and the Complaint Panel.

Dr Ng also contributed articles to dental journals. Her most recent contribution is a chapter on ‘Non-surgical Facial Aesthetics’ in the book “Fundamentals of Orthognathic Surgery (3rd edition)”.

In recognition of her contributions and services to the profession and the community she was inducted into the Roll-of-Honour by the Singapore Dental Association.

Dr Ng’s key interest is in oral maxillofacial surgery and dental implantology. She lectured regularly on dental implantology, orthognathic surgery and oral & maxillofacial surgery in UK, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Dr Ng is a clinician and director at the multi-disciplinary dental group practice, Coden Specialists.

Dr Lee Kwee Jin

BDS (Singapore), MSc (Periodontics) (London), FRACDS (Australia), FDSRCS (Edinburgh)

Dr Lee Kwee Jin graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1992. He was awarded the Singapore Dental Association Presidents’ Bronze Medal, the University Bronze Medal and the Reuben Meyer Trust Scholarship by the University during his course of undergraduate study at the Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr Lee was part of the undergraduate research team that won the first prize at the scientific research competition at the Asia Pacific Dental Students’ Association in 1991. He was the oral presenter for the same undergraduate research team that won first prize at the Young Investigator Award Competition that was organised by the Singapore Dental Association in 1991.

Dr Lee obtained his Masters of Science in Periodontology from the University of London in 1995. He also obtained Dental Fellowships from the Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998.

Dr Lee is a part-time staff at Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore since 2001. He is currently an adjunct senior lecturer at the Discipline of Periodontology of the Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr Lee practises as a director and specialist in periodontics at Coden Specialists at Orchard Road.

Dr Pua Hong Ping

BDS (King's College, UK)

Dr. Pua graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2011. Following his graduation, he begun his career in England with Foundation Training in the Oxfordshire Scheme. He received John McLean runner-up award for presentation of multi-disciplinary treatment case from British Dental Association and Foundation Dentist award from British Endodontic Society.

Dr Pua is a very dedicated dentist. Whilst devoting himself to serving the dental needs of his patients, Dr. Pua continued with postgraduate training. In 2016, Dr Pua attended the Basic Course in Dental Implantology at the National University of Singapore. He underwent further training; in 2018 and 2021, he completed the examinations leading to the Diploma in Implant Dentistry and Membership in Advanced General Dental Surgery respectively from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Dr Pua has a standard proficiency certification by the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is trained in Botox procedures for facial aesthetics.

In 2014, Dr Pua became an accredited Invisalign provider. In 2019, he was appointed an Invisalign trainer to conduct certification courses and study clubs in orthodontic and pre-restorative treatments utilising Invisalign clear aligners. In 2021, he published the first multi-disciplinary case from Singapore in the new Invisalign-iTero gallery.

Dr Pua has been working in private practices since he relocated to Singapore. During his free time, he volunteers his services to the dental profession through the Singapore Dental Association.

Dr Pua provides a wide range of dental services from general, restorative and aesthetic dental services to implant treatment, dento-alveolar surgery and Invisalign orthodontic treatment. He is well liked by his patients for being soft spoken, gentle, friendly and dedicated to his work.

Dr Pua currently works at Coden Specialists, Orchard Road, on appointment.

Dr Clara Gibson

BDENTSc, University of Dublin, Ireland, MClinDent (Orthodontics), University College London, UK, FDSRCS (England)

Dr Clara Gibson qualified as a dentist from Trinity College, University of Dublin, where she achieved the highest exam result over the 5-year course.

She subsequently acquired a Masters in Orthodontics (MClinDent), after completing a 3-year postgraduate Orthodontic programme at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London and was awarded the SP Jones first prize for her Masters research project.

After two years of further training, Dr Gibson received the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDSRCS) awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Dr Gibson was a Consultant at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London, before relocating to Singapore in 2020. She provided orthodontic treatment for cleft lip & palate and surgical cases. During her practice in London, she also provided orthodontic treatment using lingual invisible braces, Invisalign aligners and ceramic braces.

Currently, Dr Gibson holds an honorary research appointment with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London. She gives lectures and presentations at local and international congresses and has published a range of papers in the dental literature. As a contribution to her profession, together with a UK colleague, she is currently writing a dental textbook aimed at postgraduate dentists who are training to become hospital dental consultants.

Dr Gibson is accredited as a dentist with the Singapore Dental Council. She has a special interest in orthodontics and is currently practising at Coden Specialists.

Dr David Loh

BDS (Western Australia)

Dr David Loh graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Western Australia, Australia.

Dr Loh has worked extensively in private practice in Perth and Sydney since 2004, with experience encompassing a broad spectrum of general dentistry.

Dr Loh is committed to providing the best service and patient care utilizing the most up to date techniques through continuing education. He has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.

Relocating to Singapore with his wife in 2013 to be closer to family, Dr Loh hopes to establish a long and fulfilling career in dentistry in Singapore.

Dr Elizabeth Saat

Dr Saat is a passionate dental professional with a commitment to excellence in oral healthcare. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Following her graduation, Dr Saat completed her foundation year training in general dentistry under the UK National Healthcare System. This invaluable experience allowed her to hone her skills and broaden her understanding of various dental procedures, further solidifying her dedication to patient-centered care.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Saat achieved the esteemed Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties with the Royal College of Surgeons England (MJDF) in 2020. Not content to stop there, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Dentistry with National University of Singapore (Grad Dip Geriatric Dentistry (Singapore)) in 2024, recognising the unique dental needs of elderly patients and aiming to enhance their oral health and overall well-being. Beyond academics and clinical practice, Dr. Saat actively participates in local and international dental volunteering efforts. She is a part of a few teams of dentists who regularly provide dental check-ups and treatment to care home residents, making a positive impact on those who may face barriers to accessing quality dental care. Also, she has participated in international dental volunteering efforts in Cambodia and in Sri Lanka.
As an enthusiastic advocate for preventive dentistry, Dr Saat educates her patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular check-ups. Her goal is to empower her patients to take control of their oral health.

Prof Malcom Harris

Prof Malcolm Harris is the Emeritus Professor, University of London and Honorary Professor to the University of Warwick Medical School. He is also the Academic visitor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, St Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Prof Harris conducts postgraduate teaching at our centre.

His research interests include bone pathology, collagen disorders and facial pains.

Prof Harris has published more than 138 papers and is author/editor of over 20 books and dictionaries.

Dr Axel Kirsch

Dr Kirsch is a world renown pioneer and innovator in dental implantology. Born in Germany, he received this doctorate in medicinal dentistry from the University of Freiburg, Germany, In 1995, he designed and founded the renowned Camlog Implant System which is used worldwide.

He has been appointed to the Associate Professorship in the Dept. for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the following universities: Loma Linda University, University of Pittsburgh, Boston University and University of California (UCLA).

His area of specialization includes perio-implant prosthetic rehabilitation, hard and soft tissue management, and research in implant design.

Dr Kirsch, an honorary visiting consultant, teaches advanced implantology procedures at our centre.

Dr Loke Wei Qiang

Dr Loke Weiqiang graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2006 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. During his undergraduate study, he obtained a distinction in Prosthodontics and he was on the Dean’s List. He also received academic awards, namely the University Medal, Loh Fun Chee Gold Medal, F.A.C. Oehler’s Gold Medal and Hashim Yaacob Research Award. In 2009, he was awarded the NUS Overseas Graduate Scholarship to pursue advanced specialty training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in Periodontics and Prosthodontics, as part of his 5-year dual-speciality Master of Science residency program.

After completing his US Board Certifications in Prosthodontics and Periodontics in 2014, Dr Loke returned to teach at NUS as an Assistant Professor. During his tenure at NUS, he received educator and research awards, SEAADE-DENTSPLY Asia Research Award in Dental Education and Teaching Innovation, Exxon Mobil-NUS Research Fellowship Award. He was also a co-investigator in 2 National Medical Research Council (NMRC) research grants in Cardiosleep Medicine and the NUS BIGHEART grant. One of his research publications, entitled “Wirelessly operated bioelectronic sutures for the monitoring of deep surgical wounds” was published in NATURE Biomedical Engineering.

Dr Loke is a dual-trained Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics, with a keen interest in Oral Implantology and Dental Sleep Medicine. Although Dr Loke moved into private practice in 2022, being a passionate and firm believer in education at heart as he spent more than 11 years as a full-time academic at NUS, he continues to teach part-time as an adjunct lecturer at NUS and at study clubs locally and overseas.

Dr Loke is the President of Prosthodontics Society Singapore, board member of Asian Board of Prosthodontics (Asian Academy of Prosthodontics) and member of the NUS Medicine International Council. Apart from devoting his passion and time in caring for his patients, he enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures with his family.

Currently, Dr Loke practises at Coden Specialists @Paragon Medical, on appointment.
